On Tuesday the 26th of May Mr Berry’s class did a Forensics Science Show on Cattle Duffing. The basic idea happened in real life in Queensland in 2003. Cattle Duffing is where someone steals cattle from someone else. Our facilitator was Carol and it was a 90 minute session. I worked with Sam Upton.
My favourite experiment was where we had to find out who left the tyre tracks. First we put the tyre into some ink. We then printed the tyre marks on a piece of paper and then put some black powder on it to make the mark darker. Doug Grey was the personriding the motorbike.
I also liked the one where you put some chewed gum found at the scene of the crime on some molds of teeth. Doug Grey was the person that chewed the gum.
I liked the show a lot but I couldn’t do some of the experiments. My predictions were right that Doug Grey and Mrs Grey were the culprits.
